The basic idea was to throw something nice with the 45rpm records,
and what I came up was a mixture of a whole lot of Jamican influenced sound.
Reggae, Rocksteady, Raga-Jungle, you name it.
Dancehall stuff is in a way, an art of playing as many tunes as possible
in short seconds of time, since you don't really mix the tunes like
you normally do, like in a House dj set or what ever.
But on the other hand, you really have to listen to the tune,
what the tune is trying to say, and pick the right tune and slam it to the dancefloor!!

基本的なコンセプトは４５回転のレコードで何かしようよ。ってことで、
何をやったというと、ジャマイカ臭が漂ってる音楽を全部かけようよ！ってことをやりました。
ロックステディだろうが、ダンスホールだろうが、ラガ・ジャングルだろうが全てぶち込む系？
基本的にレゲエのセレクターの作法って、ハウスのようなロング・ミックスのまったく対極にあって
いかに短い時間に、できるだけ多くの良い曲をぶち込むかってことが勝負なんで、
極めて雑、かつヨレテル感じのミックスがよろしいかなと。
その反面、一曲入魂！が本当にこの音では大事。
曲の歌詞を良く聴いて、この曲には次にこの曲で返すって、
ちゃんと曲を選ばないといけないんですよね。
前半の7incheのセレクションは割と懐かしいところを拾ってきた反面、
50分あたりから始まるジャングル・ミックスは、
定番のCongo Natty関連から、USもん、カナダもんのラガ・ジャングルを突っ込みました。-disos
